The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted a Valentine’s Day campaign at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) to celebrate the day with love, “Libreng Sakay” from PITX to Monumento.
The libreng sakay program is only for February 14, 6 AM to 9 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM, traversing PITX to Monumento, Monumento to PITX. Alongside the campaign is a simultaneous serenade and gift giving of flowers to more than 1,000 passengers of PITX, Light Rail Transit Line 2, Metro Rail Transit, and Philippine National Railways.
Highway Patrol Group Brig. General Clifford Gairanod also made an appearance in gift giving of flowers to passengers with reminders on anti-carnapping tips to PUV drivers.
Jason Salvador, Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Head at PITX said, “this partnership between the transportation agencies is proof that we all aim to spread the love to our passengers through the libreng sakay and a little gift giving”. He continued, “we are thankful to DOTr, PCG, and HPG who gave our passengers happiness during the day of hearts.”
To further the celebration of love in the landport, #WalangBibitaw2023 campaign was launched for Valentine’s themed items that passengers can buy for their loved ones. Merchants include; Fruitas, Highland Coffee, Red Ribbon, Yellow Cab, Krispy Kreme, Mister Donut, Dunkin’ Donut, Fashion Rack, Goodcut, and Original Pinoy Merienda.
